The regimented Lesotho Fashion week brought a huge style galore to the streets of Lesotho, Maseru during the past weekend as it was on everyone’s lips before the event could climax. It is undoubtedly the future the fashion industry this country needs.
What Virtue magazine values is the diversity this ‘yes, more please’ show brought to it’s audience without reluctance. The event took a period of a weekend starting from May 3rd to 5th at Mpilo Boutique Hotel– surely onlookers had lots of stories to tell centering the fashion wavelength Lesotho is spiraling to.
It featured an array of models but more especially, fashion designers from across Africa including Lesotho( Tailored by Hessini,Wild Laelia Designs),Botswana(Dihdah), Canada & South Africa(Pattern Nation), South Africa (Forever Grey Fashion) and Nigeria (House of Irawo).
What a way to kick start the month of May, of which we would like to describe as the month of versatility and miscellany.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Lesotho Fashion Week team does not meet the terms of overcast uniformity. Why make fashion a dreary, static staging when you can explore it beyond your wildest imagination. Creativity is key to the betterment of this industry, accordingly, the event provided an all in access to everyone who would sought to witness it in the making. Reviews centering around the show were overall positive and impressive .
“The event was definitely a huge success. From day 1, everything was well articulated and their consistency was out of this world.”
May we congratulate how the team has levelled up to blow our minds.
We want to believe that Lesotho Fashion week also offered a pleasant platform for models, designers, photographers and event organizers and also, a wakeup call for them to keep steamrolling up their game.
What is the use of doing what you do only to stay motionless? The magazine was also blown away by the wonderful service the team offered to their guests including starters, free drinks and food.
Probably aspiring event organizers in the country could learn a thing or two from the LFW team, right?
It is vital to showcase the multiple talents the country has to offer and this why we chose to acknowledge some of the models, the likes of Makhaola Moshoeshoe, Retshepile Mohale,Thato Nkuebe and the rest of models from TGEE Modelling Agency on how they unapologetically strut it on the run way.
The models were clearly serving! We also need to appreciate Tsepiso Isabella Mokobori, Mojabeng Senekal Ndebele, Kananelo Kiva Phakisi on a job well done. You ladies raised the bar high for other MCs.
The night ended on a high note when Nigerian fashion wear was showcased for the audience to see, it was inexplicably powerful that it had everyone on their feet.
Must we even spell it out for the world as to how Africa is so endowed? Well we hope not because we highly believe all that was conveyed the previous weekend will be globally recognized- hard work and consistency pay off in the end.
It is events like these that can raise Lesotho and Africa’s flag way up high.
Why don’t we let them fly down here so they can see just how much of a handful we can serve?
Clearly Lesotho Fashion Week, this is us, waiting for another hyped up fashion show like this one.
